Individual Memories of Oehler's Mill.

Janice Baures

When I was a young girl my mother Margaret (Oehler) Davidson would take me and my siblings to visit the mill, cemetery, and park on the weekends. Sometimes we would go horseback riding, but I was instructed to keep the horses away from the creek as they would get stuck in the mud. The mud of the creek is particularly sticky and more then one shoe has been lost in it. My mother seemed particularly worried about our safety around the creek and was worried about people drowning. The park was a beautiful place and I have very fond memories there.
